Kaleem Ullah is the Chair of FAIREEH – Young Scholars Network (FYS), Pakistan, a Ph.D. candidate at Sejong University, South Korea, and a Research Assistant in the Intelligent Media Laboratory (IMLab).
His research focuses on computer vision, vision-language models, multimodal learning, cross-modal alignment, text-video retrieval, multimodal representation learning, and intelligent transportation systems. His recent work explores advanced multimodal frameworks for cross-modal retrieval and semantic understanding of visual content.
As Chair of FYS, he aims to promote research collaboration, academic networking, and support for young scholars.

Empowering the Next Generation of Young Scholars in Pakistan
FAIREEH Young Scholars Network (FYS), Pakistan is a national chapter of the global FAIREEH Young Scholars Network. It aims to support students, young researchers, early-career scholars, and emerging innovators in Pakistan through AI-driven education, academic mentorship, research collaboration, international exchange, and leadership development.
FYS Pakistan provides a platform for young scholars to build knowledge, research skills, and global academic connections. The network encourages interdisciplinary collaboration across artificial intelligence, education, science, engineering, humanities, sustainability, social development, and responsible innovation.
A key focus of FYS Pakistan is to expand opportunities for talented young people across Pakistan, especially those from underserved communities, developing regions, and institutions with limited access to international academic networks. Many young scholars in Pakistan face challenges such as limited research resources, lack of mentorship, fewer global collaboration opportunities, and limited access to advanced AI education. FYS Pakistan seeks to bridge this gap by creating inclusive programs, academic partnerships, mentorship opportunities, and accessible learning platforms.
Through mentorship programs, research workshops, academic forums, collaborative projects, and international partnerships, FYS Pakistan helps young scholars grow as responsible researchers, innovators, and future leaders who can contribute to Pakistan’s academic, technological, and social development.
